The 15th International Workshop on Technologies for Information Retrieval (TIR) workshop provides a platform for presenting and discussing new solutions, novel ideas, or specific tools for future retrieval systems in different research areas, such as machine learning, (big) data mining, natural language processing, artificial intelligence, user interaction and modeling, and in web engineering. The workshop was held in conjunction with four other conferences and two other workshops at the 29th DEXA Conferences and Workshops, a conference on Database and Expert Systems Applications.
The MOVING contribution of a) Tilman Beck, Falk Böschen, and Ansgar Scherp on “What to read next? Challenges and Preliminary Results in Selecting Representative Documents” and b) of Lukas Galke, Gunnar Gerstenkorn, Ansgar Scherp on “A Case Study of Closed-Domain Response Suggestion with Limited Training Data” were among the accepted papers of the TIR 2018 workshop and have been successfully presented by Tilman Beck, and Gunnar Gerstenkorn, in the session “Social Networks and the Web”, respectively.
