MOVING technology and use cases were presented by Prof. Dr. Thomas Köhler, the Director of the TU Dresden Media Center, and were discussed in a “Democracy 4.0” workshop in June 2017. Specifically, the usage of digital tools as a starting point for citizens’ participation and scientific collaboration was the focus of the Workshop “Democracy 4.0 – opportunity or risk? Media change and participation in local politics”, which was held on the open city hall day in Dresden, with the participation of local politicians, researchers and about 50 citizens. (cf. Köhler, T.
